Abstract
The PMU based AGC is a new alternative AGC technological proposal that relies on the new available technology of the phasor measurement units PMUs and the gps clocks that breaches open the possibilities into which a very stable clock signal is provided and made available at several distant power plants of a power system, that clock signal could be used as a reference signal for controlling and maintaining at a constant delay the instant at which the power voltage signal at the bus bar terminals of some generation power plant passes through cero. That is for maintaining the voltage angle at a constant dispatched value, at several power plants of a power system with respect to a universal time reference signal.
