Abstract
This paper proposed a new collision detection algorithm that is based based on the combination of improved OBB bounding hierarchy and KD-tree acceleration of ray tracing used in Vega Pirme. This method can solve the drawback of low accuracy according to vector collision detection algorithm of intersecting detection on Vega Prime. Experimental results show that the algorithm can speed up the rate of collision detection and it can complete the virtual environment roaming issues that arise during the collision accurately and quickly.
