Abstract :
The intention of multiband radar signal processing is the improvement of the resolution by the combination of different frequency bands. The bandgaps between the frequency bands are crucial for the ambiguity function, because strong grating lobes can be obtained in the order of magnitude of the main peak. In order to overcome the processing limits by fourier transformation, the aspects of two high-resolution methods are investigated: MUSIC and root-MUSIC for coherent and non-coherent processing and the extrapolation of bandgaps by Super-Spatially Variant Apodization(Super-SVA).
