Abstract
Detecting faces has become a common task in human-computer interaction systems. A robust face detection system should be able to detect faces irrespective of illuminations, shadows, cluttered backgrounds, facial pose, orientation and facial expressions. In this paper we describe a method comprising color constancy based skin detection and Local-Global (LG) graph matching in color images to address these challenges. Illustrative examples are also provided as a proof of concept.
