Abstract :
For the problem of source transmission with fading channel and side information quality, we have characterized the optimal distortion exponent for SISO systems by deriving an upper bound and providing transmission schemes that meet this bound. We also have provided closed-form expressions for the distortion exponents of the presented schemes. Interestingly, for x <; b <; 1, the optimal distortion exponent coincides with the optimal distortion exponent when side information is absent.
