Abstract :
RFID localization uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to determine object´s position in a specific area. Location identification based on Dynamic Active RFID Calibration (LANDMARC) is a notable technique in which active tags and signal strengths are utilized. In this paper, Linear Minimum Mean Square Error (LMMSE) estimation is employed to improve the accuracy of LANDMARC. The type of tags is also changed to passive one which smaller and cheaper than active tags. The simulation and experimental results show significant improvement over the conventional LANDMARC approach.
