Abstract :
Biofuels, such as butanol is a promising alternative to fossil fuels. In this case, novel cell factory may help in the production of butanol. However, this practice needs a good understanding in order to improve existing cell factories technologies for biofuels. System biology offers numerous methods using computational approaches to analyze and reveal the complex behaviors of biochemical reaction of cells. In this research, two methods were compared with each other in order to identify the relationship of between flux balance analysis and its kinetic rate. The dataset used was Clostridial acetobutylicum ATCC 824 which contain 707 metabolites and 794 reactions. As a result, the analysis of flux balance shows better result compared to the kinetic model analysis.
