Abstract :
The noise performance of small semiconductor devices is determined by applying two-dimensional physical simulators. The full dynamic transport equations are linearized and solved in frequency domain to obtain the small-signal parameters and the noise performance accurately. A two-dimensional Monte-Carlo code is also used to estimate the noise performance at higher frequencies than those which can be studied by full dynamic transport models.
