Abstract
To investigate the influence of land use variation along rail transit lines on the ridership demand, we intended to analyze some present problems between the urban rail transit and land use, and to applied the experience of rail transit & real estate mode of Hong Kong into Suzhou rail transit line 1. In order to achieve the transit-orient development, we attached great importance to optimizing the land use layout and development density along the transit lines. Based on the layout program before and after optimizing Suzhou city land use, the transport demand forecast model of rail transit of Suzhou city was firstly built, and then the correlation of the ridership, population, total building area, residential area and commercial area were analyzed.
