Abstract
In this paper a simple model enabling the estimation of the average power dissipated by a generic Bluetooth device in real operating conditions is described. The theoretical analysis underlying the model definition is based on the latest version of the Bluetooth specifications. The proposed model paves the way to the implementation of an accurate power consumption simulator that could used for the development of next-generation Bluetooth systems.
