Abstract :
Offline wavelength assignment in labelled optical burst switching networks without or with limited wavelength conversion capability is considered in this paper. Three main interference factors are used for the design and analysis of the wavelength assignment algorithm. The correctness of these factors is verified by simulation. According to the interference analysis, two wavelength assignment schemes are proposed. The aim of these two offline wavelength assignment schemes is to decide the wavelength searching order for each label switched path. The simulation results illustrate the efficiency of these two algorithms in decreasing the burst loss probability.
