Abstract :
Micro-sensor network system of Forward Scattering Radar (FSR) is used for detection and classification of any ground target (personnel, vehicle) crossing or entering its coverage area. The efficiency of the system is based on the classification performance that is highly dependent on the information extracted from the signal. Thus, it is of practical importance to choose suitable transformation techniques which is best to extract the relevant information in the target signal. This paper presents a Wavelet Technique (WT) used which give scales and variation information respectively. This information will be extracted and become the input to the classification process. The wavelet technique applied shows the similarity between signals of each target and dissimilarity between different targets.
