Abstract
A brush pen is one of traditional writing tools, and it is used in practice of the writing characters in schools. Handwriting with the brush pen requires some basic skills for students. For example, they need keep speed of the brush pen while drawing strokes. In order to support hand writing of the students, motion analysis of the handwriting character is necessary. In this paper, we developed a new human-computer interface for hand writing character that uses ordinary papers and brush pen. Strokes written by the brush pen can be inputted into a computer by using a CCD camera. And the strokes written by the brush pen can be reconstructed and displayed as a character on the computer display at the realistic rate. A brush pen is comfortable in writing the characters.
