Abstract
In this paper we develop a modulation transfer function (MTF) model of a scanning time-delay-integration (TDI) sensor with oversampling-superposition. Owing to the wide applications of TDI focal plane array (FPA) and oversampling-superposition technique in improving the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the current model provides theoretic foundation for researchers and engineers to evaluate the effect of the two above techniques on sensor s spatial resolution.
