Abstract :
We have reported the method for finding the dependency of the apparent local barrier height (LBH) on measurement parameters (tunneling current, voltage and tip-sample separation) that depend on each other. The LBH is a multi-parameter value since it depends on the local work function and measurement parameters. Dependence of the LBH on the measurement parameters is distinguished by fixing each measurement parameter in turn systematically.
