Abstract :
A capacitor-excited single-phase induction generator is presented. It has the advantages of low cost, reliability, high efficiency, constant output voltage, and good voltage waveform. It is shown how the machine utilization of a single-phase induction generator reaches the level of that of a three-phase motor.<>
