Abstract :
A novel error-concealment scheme based on self-adaptive RPS (reference picture selection) and digital watermarking has been proposed to improve the recovery ability of corrupted video. During encoding procedure, RP (reference picture) is carefully selected according to the context of every intra blocks along with EC (error concealment) features extracted. Simultaneously, every macroblock is allocated in coupled pairs by improved FMO (flexible macroblock ordering). Those features are then embedded into corresponding MB pairs by watermarking. When errors occur, the EC features are dispatched to conceal destructed blocks. Experimental results show the proposed methods can enhance the overall EC capability of corrupted video.
