Abstract :
In this paper a non-simulation approach to estimation of performance of a track-before-detect (TBD) technique for a 3D stacked-beam (SB) radar is presented. The TBD algorithm performance is analytically described using a simple model of detection in the SB radar. A method for calculation of trajectory templates for low-observable tactical ballistic missiles detection is proposed. Finally, equivalent processing gains are estimated for particular TBD structures.
