Abstract
Pneumatic conveying of granular material through the upward inclined pipe was studied by using the numerical simulation based on ANSYS platform. Euler- Lagrange two-phase method and discrete phase model were adopted to simulate the pneumatic conveying process. Three kind of inclined pipes with different angles were studied. The results showed the flow pattern, motion trajectory and pressure distribution in the pipes of particle. Through the simulation results, it was found that the particles flowing in the pipe was mainly influenced by gravity and inertia force, in addition to collision between particles or particle and pipe wall.
