Abstract :
In a collaborative virtual environment, a collision management scheme must be present to prevent moving avatars from colliding with other moving avatars and with obstacles in their path. This paper presents a novel curvilinear avatar with avatar collision detection scheme (CAACD) that provides a collision-free environment for avatars going in a linear as well as curvilinear motion.
