Abstract :
A design concept of a microwave filter structure is presented. This concept allows the filters to be fabricated as independent elements for surface-mounting in a microwave circuit PCB. The filter design is based on a stripline with a substrate made from two different layers. In addition, the design of a special metal housing is shown. The simulation and measurement results of the filter model are presented Filters fabricated according to this concept are very low-cost and insensitive to ambient conditions. They are designed to be used in the ARS-800 radar system.
