Abstract
The use of thin film layered electrodes allows the unloaded Q-factor of a resonator to be enhanced due to resonant transmission of microwave power through metal sublayers. Use of superconducting films as the conductor plates needs additional analysis to establish the validity of applying the multilayer electrode consideration in this case. The method proposed is applied to the modeling of parallel plate resonators with maximum Q-factor.
