Abstract
The technique of coordinate transformation is formulated to study scattering by three-dimensional objects of the arbitrary cross section. The method requires a transformation formula which maps the region outside the cross-section of the scatter to the region outside a circle. The transformation formula are well established or can be obtained by the theory of the complex variables. The formulation is general and can also be applied to rotationally symmetric objects. The result of the computations for surface current and radar cross section are in good agreement with the reported data. The present method is quite efficient, in terms of computer storage, time, and simplicity of the data entry
