Abstract :
In this paper, a new technique for measurement of SP(systolic pressure) and DP(diastolic pressure) in BP(blood pressure) using external pulse recording during cuff deflation is addressed. Frequency domain analysis such as DFT is used here and it shows three different patterns in three different `zones´: above SP, between SP and DP, and below DP. As usual measurement of BP, cuff wrapped on artery is deflated starting from about 180mmHg and ends after DP is detected. Instead of using the most common way which is Korotkoff sound method, the suggested analysis can decrease the error of both pressure measurement with its accuracy and its effectiveness is discussed.
