Abstract :
Control strategies, practical implementation and performance issues related to field-oriented control of synchronous reluctance motors are presented. In particular, a speed invariant current controller, variable d-q current limit and variable speed loop gain are proposed. Excellent control performance is shown to be possible, which indicates that synchronous reluctance motors can be suitably applied to high performance drive systems
