Abstract :
In recent years, people are paying more attention to formalizing and analysing Denial of Service attacks. But the analysis is almost exclusively focused on the computation cost. In this paper, we improve the cost-based framework proposed by Meadows and propose a new model to analyse the protocol´s DoS resistance based on the time and space. Compared to the previous work, we give a more precise tolerance relation rather than merely binary in the improved framework. We analyse the Just Fast Keying (JFKi) protocol under our improved framework and explore the vulnerability which was found manually in the previous work.
