Abstract
It is shown that neural network (NN) software can successfully be used for validation of vibration data and classification of distorted waveforms. This constitutes a confirmation of the feasibility of application of NNs in expert systems for the predictive maintenance diagnostics of rotating electromachine systems. Details of the developed networks, preparatory and training procedures, and experimental results are presented
