Abstract
A computer model of wave propagation in random two-dimensional urban areas using the high-frequency ray-tracing method is presented. The randomness of the approach is realised by introducing a percolation model of the environment and model of ray arrivals based on the nonuniform Poisson distribution function. Computer simulation enables us to assign an approximate formula for magnitude of electric-field strength, which can be treated as an envelope of radio channel pulse response.
