Abstract
The new ceramic `high temperature´ superconductors are potentially of use in antenna systems, assuming liquid nitrogen cooling is available. The following areas have been considered: electrically small antennas at VHF and UHF, and below 1 MHz; electrically large antennas such as centimetric array feed systems and millimetric antenna feed systems; coaxial cables; cavity resonators; and `SQUIDS´ for ELF reception. A detailed assessment of these possible applications has been made
