Expressway System Planning for China´s Big Cities

This paper introduces the plan and construction of expressways in some typical cities from home and abroad, and also analyzes the experience and lessons of these cities. On the basis of that, the paper puts forward the key considerations in the plan and management of expressways, thus to lead proper use of private cars and construct a resource-conserving and environment-friendly urban transport system.
