Abstract :
Coal Bed Methane that is commonly known `gas´, which is a harmful gas posing threat to coal mine safety, and which has a strong greenhouse effect and pollute the environment when it emissions into the atmosphere. It is an economical, convenient, efficient and clean energy at the same time. This paper analyzes the significance and development prospects of coal-bed methane resources from the standpoint of safety, energy conservation and environmental protection. Concluding that development and utilization CBM resources can turn bane into a boon, turn waste into wealth, protect human living environment and has great significance to ensure the sustainable economic development in China.
