  • Abstract
The performance of a twin stator induction motor is analyzed using numerical calculation on the basis of a state-space model and the Runge-Kutta-Gill method. The twin stator induction motor has two independent sets of stator windings and an end ring rotor which has high resistance. The one set of stator windings is fixed, and the other set of stator windings can be rotated. A performance analysis is made of the effects on the torque and current characteristics of the end ring resistance, with respect to the rotating angle. From the computer-aided analytical results. It is clear that the motor can be used as a variable-speed machine.<>
