Abstract :
A distributed power system based on a 100-kHz trapezoidal bus voltage has been designed, constructed, and operated. Lower current harmonics result from using a trapezoidal source rather than a sine wave source. The overall system efficiency is 70-72%. High frequency AC distributed power systems should be considered for low power systems having cable lengths of up to tens of meters
