Abstract :
After measured fuel parameters such as calorific value, volatiles, ash and water content of the oil-sludge and the coal experimentally, a mixture fuel has been prepared from oil-sludge and coal. It will be recalled that the former has a high proportion of volatiles, whereas the latter has a similar amount of carbon. Such a property allows for mitigation against the amount of oil-sludge produced per annum. This, in turn, ushers in environmental benefits such as reduced pollution, as well as economic advantages in terms of lower energy costs that naturally accompany the conservation of high quality fuel. The optimum mathematical model for the mixed fuel was established. The optimization software was developed to determine the best ratio of sludge- coal, which allows for the goals of Full use of waste oil sludge and waste reduction to be realized.
