Abstract :
As an important desurfurization, hydroxyl oxidize iron (FeOOH) synthesis conditions have a great influence on the characteristics of iron desulfurization. When FeOOH prepared by precipitation, the chemical properties and the crystal structure of iron oxide will be strongly influenced by other additives in the solution. The present research provide the physics performance, such as crystal, physical features, specific surface area, and desulfurization activity of the FeOOH samples by adding bentonite and diatomite in the preparation process. The result shows that the addition of bentonite and diatomite shorten the FeOOH preparation process and quicken the sample filtration, furthermore solve the engineering problems in the preparation process, such as the smaller precipitation particle filtration. The prepared sample is γ-FeOOH, which saturated sulfurzaiton weight increased rate more than 50% and has relatively high desulfurization activity.
