Abstract :
This paper is based on the Lin-Chang Expressway which is one section of Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway in China. After long-term survey since the expressway opened to traffic, the significant difference of transverse cracks between the two sections is discovered; whose surface layer is AK-16 or SMA-16 asphalt mixture. Excavation and core-drilling test showed that most of transverse cracks are reflective crack and the SMA section´s transverse crack is much less than the AK section´s, besides, the structural rutting caused by semi-rigid base diseases is also confirmed. The Split test of AK and SMA asphalt mixture in different aging degree showed that the SMA had better long-term performance of anti-reflective Crack than AK.
