Abstract :
Summary form only given. Chalcogenide glass has great advantages because of their wide transmission window and high nonlinearity in the mid-infrared (MIR) region. Many works about supercontinuum (SC) generation in As-Se or As-S fibers have been demonstrated. In this paper, we demonstrate the SC generation in a 1.3 cm suspended-core As2S3 microstructured optical fiber (MOF) experimentally. The SC range changed with different pump wavelengths from 2200 to 2600 nm, corresponding to the dispersion from the normal to anomalous region. The SCs could extend to longer than 4 μm with the pump wavelengths close to the zero-dispersion wavelength (ZDW). The SCs were simulated by the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation.
