Abstract :
Current controlled single phase PWM voltage source converters (VSCs) using three level (unipolar) input terminal voltage are presented. These retain all advantages of VSCs using two level (bipolar) input terminal voltage and further reduce the semiconductor stress. Economical constructions suggested make use of GTOs along with SCRs
