Abstract :
The goal of this work is analytical and numerical simulation of artificial magnetic medium (AM) realized by the LTCC technology. Simple analytical model based on periodically loaded transmission line presentation of AM is described. The simulated frequency response of AM slab and magnetic field distribution is presented. Real and imaginary parts of refractive index of AM slab were extracted from simulated data for AM slab with different number of unit cells. Designed AM exhibits good characteristics and can be used in microwave modules based on LTCC technology.
