Abstract :
The relationship between the electrical characteristics of Ba(Sn,Sb)O3 system materials for fixed resistors and the contents of Sb2O3, BaO, and a silicate sintering agent was investigated. It was found that the donor centers formed by Sb 5+ are the cardinal cause of semiconduction in this system, but when Sb2O3>0.03 mol, the proportion of phase constituents among high-resistance, low-resistance, and insulating phases in the materials becomes a main factor affecting conduction. Therefore, the resistivity of the materials can be adjusted through changing the contents of Sb2O3, BaO, and the silicate sintering agent. A suspicious unidentified barium stannate seems to have been found in the high BaO region
