Abstract
This paper presents a multivariable controller for wind energy conversion system (WECS). The pitch angle and electric load are regulated to control the Wind Turbine (WT) speed, aiming to reduce mechanical stress and to improve system efficiency. The robust H∞ methodology is chosen to design the feedback controller, since a WECS consists of a non-linear and stochastic system. Simulation results are used to analyze the performance of proposed feedback control.
