Abstract
Adaptive sampling can be used to reduce the number of produced events in networked control systems. Two types of adaptive sampling, namely time-variant periodic and deadband sampling are compared in this paper from the viewpoint of the control loop performance and the number of produced events. The comparison is fulfilled based on simulations.
