  • Abstract
This work is a part of CANDY research project. Computer-processed building models are used as data sources for optimized cabling tracing in buildings LAN-inside as well as constellation of access points (AP) or basis stations (BS) in WLAN and WiMAX-nets. The imported building geometry models are used in propagation models and visualization methods implemented in tools of CANDY framework. The developed methods are successfully used for design of combined networks including wired and wireless routes. The optimization aim is decreasing of total network costs, higher life duration of designed network solutions and their scalability. Characteristics and performance features of selected propagation models and design methods are evaluated.
