Abstract
Recent years production accidents keep appearing in coal-mines of our country. The author analyzes different factors that may cause accident and comes to the conclusion that most of the accidents are related to human factors. Among coal-mine equipments the safety and rescue devices have been responsible for protecting coal-miners against injuries and reducing economic loss of coal-mine corporation. But designers usually emphasis the technical performances and, in some degree, ignore the human factors in design of those devices. This situation has influenced use-efficiency and level of comfort of the devices when we use them. To improve the design of these devices, the designer should pay particular attention to human factors and interface design besides taking advanced technology
