The main areas of research in the subject of radioelectronics at the Warsaw University of Technology have been presented. The special interest of perspectives for development has been put on the development of radiocommunications, multimedia techniques and biomedical engineering. Also the history and the present situation of the Institute of Radiocommunication is focused on.
