Abstract :
Tests were carried out to investigate the rate of deterioration of fluorescent reflector materials under high irradiance of UV-C radiation. The results show a wide range of aging rate with different materials, some of which may be unacceptable in service. High levels of UV-C radiation lead to deterioration of some reflector materials in times ranging from hundreds to thousands of hours. The UV-C irradiance used in this study was approximately 1000 times the UV-C irradiance measured in a standard reflector location in a luminaire
