Abstract :
To solve the problem of hydraulic bumper of a type of large-caliber sniper rifle that its flow gap area can not be adjusted, this article improved its structure with the help of computer. The flow area of hydraulic bumper was redesigned to be a groove which has variable depth. The outline of the groove was created by cubic spline. A set of optimized parameters were got by using the optimization toolbox of MATLAB. After improvement, the peak value of kick of the rifle descends by 54% and the kick changes more smoothly
