Abstract :
One crucial issue in subcontracting is to gather and share knowledge. For successfully doing that we need to have adequate tools. One such tool is a KB-DSS for R&D subcontracting that contains both potential and current subcontractors, as well as subcontracting project data. With such a system we can better manage and facilitate R&D subcontracting and in that way save considerable resources. Technology and procurement are parts of Porter\´s value chain. We in this paper have a look at the solution we have developed also from a value chain perspective. In this way we "anchor" the study in existing theoretical platforms and show the relevance of this paper
