Abstract :
Limitations of transmission capacity and distance of multi-wavelength optical fibre systems with in-line optical amplifiers by stimulated Raman scattering and four-wave mixing effects are studied. The maximum transmission distances are calculated in the presence of amplifier noise and dispersion for different channel spacing and number of channels
