Abstract :
In this paper a low profile antenna for wireless body centric communication is presented. The antenna was designed to operate in the industrial, scientific and medical band 2.45GHz. A new design based on a circular slot inserted inside a semi-circular patch is introduced to tune the antenna to the required frequency. The performance of the antenna including the radiation pattern, reflection coefficient, and efficiency were investigated both in free space and on-body.
